The Motions, Haagse Nederbeat band, founded in 1964 by Henk Smitskamp. bass guitar), Robbie van Leeuwen (guitar), Rudy Bennett (vocals) and Sieb Warner (drums). The Motions originate at the end of 1964 from Ritchie & the Ricochets, in which Bennett and van Leeuwen played. This group played on August 8, 1964 in the support act of the Stones in the Kurhaus. The first single from The Motions is in December 1964 It’s Gone (written by Van Leeuwen). The single will be placed on number 39 in the Veronica Top 40 for one week without Joost den Draaijer and his associates giving up the sales figures in early 1965.
